About The Position
We're looking for a highly experienced ADABAS Database Administrator to support a large-scale mainframe environment for a leading telecommunications technology client. This is an urgent role replacing a senior team member, requiring deep expertise in Software AG products and IBM mainframe systems.
Requirements
- Strong experience with ADABAS database administration (60+ DBs, large-scale environments)
- Proficiency in Natural / Natural Security / Natural One
- Hands-on experience with IBM z/OS , TSO, TPX, and JCL
- Experience with Entire NetWork, ADABAS Security, SQL Gateway, AOS, Review
- Expertise in performance tuning, backup & recovery, and troubleshooting
Nice To Haves
- Experience with ServiceNow
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain enterprise ADABAS databases
- Monitor, tune, and optimize system performance
- Handle backup, recovery, and system upgrades
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Support integration across Software AG and mainframe technologies
- On-call support required
