ADABAS Database Administrator (Mainframe)
About The Position
We're looking for a highly experienced ADABAS Database Administrator to support a large-scale mainframe environment for a leading telecommunications technology client. This is an urgent role replacing a senior team member, requiring deep expertise in Software AG products and IBM mainframe systems. You will manage and maintain enterprise ADABAS databases, monitor, tune, and optimize system performance, handle backup, recovery, and system upgrades, troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and support integration across Software AG and mainframe technologies. On-call support is required.
Requirements
- Strong experience with ADABAS database administration (60+ DBs, large-scale environments)
- Proficiency in Natural / Natural Security / Natural One
- Hands-on experience with IBM z/OS, TSO, TPX, and JCL
- Experience with Entire NetWork, ADABAS Security, SQL Gateway, AOS, Review
- Expertise in performance tuning, backup & recovery, and troubleshooting
- Experience with mainframe tools (CA Broadcom suite)
