About The Position

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is a comprehensive multidisciplinary company offering Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapy, Massage, and Acupuncture services. Metro has an immediate opening for a part-time experienced Acupuncturist in its Jericho office. The role involves performing treatments with needles, e-stim, and cupping, conducting initial evaluations and reevaluations, managing daily notes tracking, and collaborating with a team of physical and occupational therapists.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Acupuncture required
  • Minimum 2 years performing acupuncture required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Acupuncturist credentialed from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform treatments with needles, e-stim, and cupping
  • Conduct initial evaluations and reevaluations
  • Complete daily notes tracking
  • Work alongside a team of physical and occupational therapists
  • Assume responsibility for the evaluation and treatment of patients needing Acupuncturist services
  • Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions of the spinal column and extremities to prevent disease and correct abnormalities of the body
  • Examine patients to determine the nature and extent of disorder
  • Perform diagnostic procedures including physical, neurological, and orthopedic examinations
  • Treat general medicine and internal medicine conditions including but not limited to gynecological, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, and cardiac conditions
  • Enhance and expand patient relations when possible
  • Perform any other duties as needed and/or requested by Metro’s Management team
