Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is a comprehensive multidisciplinary company offering Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapy, Massage, and Acupuncture services. Metro has an immediate opening for a part-time experienced Acupuncturist in its Jericho office. The role involves performing treatments with needles, e-stim, and cupping, conducting initial evaluations and reevaluations, managing daily notes tracking, and collaborating with a team of physical and occupational therapists.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Acupuncture required
Minimum 2 years performing acupuncture required
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

Certified Acupuncturist credentialed from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) preferred

Responsibilities

Perform treatments with needles, e-stim, and cupping
Conduct initial evaluations and reevaluations
Complete daily notes tracking
Work alongside a team of physical and occupational therapists
Assume responsibility for the evaluation and treatment of patients needing Acupuncturist services
Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions of the spinal column and extremities to prevent disease and correct abnormalities of the body
Examine patients to determine the nature and extent of disorder
Perform diagnostic procedures including physical, neurological, and orthopedic examinations
Treat general medicine and internal medicine conditions including but not limited to gynecological, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, and cardiac conditions
Enhance and expand patient relations when possible
Perform any other duties as needed and/or requested by Metro’s Management team
