About The Position

We are a global actuarial consulting practice working with clients across North America, South America, Asia, and elsewhere. Our work is varied and challenging but generally focused on construction of financial models and use of such models for financial planning, mergers and acquisition, embedded value, risk management, economic capital, principles-based valuation, product pricing, stochastic analysis, ALM, and GAAP and statutory valuation and forecasts. The candidate should have excellent analytical, communication, time management, and organizational skills in addition to meeting the following key requirements:

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior in an actuarial science undergraduate program with progress toward degree completion
  • Strong academic performance (GPA 3.2 or higher)
  • Previous internship experience in actuarial science or a related field
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with VBA
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following: R, Python, or Java
  • Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt in a professional setting

Responsibilities

  • Support actuarial projects within the Life and Financial Services Practice
  • working alongside experienced actuaries and consultants in a collaborative office environment.
