General Description

This individual will participate in a part-time internship program with an
anticipated duration of 3 to 6 months. This individual will be involved in
actuarial, underwriting, or business analytics projects. Projects may include
claim reserving, pricing, underwriting, forecasting, rate or system testing,
analysis of provider reimbursement, data analytics, data visualization, or other
tasks assigned.

Requirements

• Pursuing or completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college required; math, actuarial, quantitative, or business degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
• Ability to perform detailed calculations and independently solve complex problems.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Motivated with a strong interest in learning new skills and tasks.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• A passing score on 1 or more SOA exams preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• The intern may be assigned a wide variety of tasks.
