Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent or one year related experience required for new hires, effective April 20142.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate, or experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant or Recreation Therapist3.
- Minimum one year previous experience in an acute care hospital or a social or recreational program within a healthcare setting required.
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Six months recent experience as an Activity Coordinator in a Subacute setting preferred.
- Satisfactory completion of Activities Coordinator course approved by the California Department of Public Health and Social Services preferred
Responsibilities
- The Activity Coordinator is an unlicensed assistive person who reports to the Director of Subacute, with direction from the Registered Nurse.
- This position coordinates and provides recreational and activity programs for the Subacute Unit.
