PURPOSE We are seeking an Activity Center Coordinator to organize, coordinate, and lead daily programming for clients participating in our Activity Center. This role plays a vital part in creating meaningful therapeutic and recreational activities that promote recovery, social engagement, and community integration for adults receiving behavioral health services. This position works closely with clinical teams, peer specialists, and program leadership to ensure engaging and structured programming that supports the needs of our clients. POSITION SUMMARY The Activity Center Coordinator is responsible for coordinating services and activities for clients attending the Activity Center. Responsibilities include planning and implementing daily programming, maintaining activity schedules, monitoring attendance, and supporting peer specialists in the delivery of services.

Requirements

  • AA Degree and two (2) years of experience in behavioral health or social services OR Three (3) years of experience in behavioral health or social services
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License and must be insurable
  • Ability to assess client behaviors and recommend appropriate interventions
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience facilitating group activities in a behavioral health or rehabilitation setting

Responsibilities

  • Activity Planning & Program Coordination Plan, organize, and implement weekly and monthly Activity Center programming
  • Coordinate activities designed to promote engagement, socialization, and recovery
  • Collaborate with clients and staff to develop meaningful program activities
  • Participate in daily program meetings and planning sessions
  • Daily Program Operations Coordinate and facilitate scheduled daily activities
  • Ensure adherence to the Activity Center schedule
  • Monitor program participation and engagement
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and activity reports
  • Program Support & Documentation Submit required documentation including attendance reports, requisitions, and program records
  • Communicate regularly with program leadership regarding program implementation and client engagement
  • Participate in client staffing when appropriate
  • Coordination with Support Services Collaborate with dietary staff for food services
  • Coordinate transportation logistics with vehicle maintenance staff
  • Identify facility or maintenance issues and report as needed
  • Additional Duties Assist with client transportation when necessary
  • Participate in committees and program meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
