About The Position

ELS is hiring for the position of Activities Supervisor (Seasonal) in Lake Tahoe, California. The Activities Supervisor directs the planning and implementation of the resort's activities and events. This position involves arranging sponsors, scheduling volunteers, and reviewing potential vendors. The role requires representing the resort in a professional manner at all times.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in events or activities planning.
Meticulous attention to details.
Excellent communications skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Microsoft Publisher preferred.

Responsibilities

Directs the planning and implementation of resort activities and events.
Arranges sponsors.
Schedules volunteers.
Reviews potential vendors.
Plans and schedules events for all groups within the resort, as well as private events at the resort facilities.
Coordinates and manages all preparations for events: arrange food and beverages.
Solicits and schedules volunteers.
Books entertainers.
Collects ticket sale money.
Arranges for sponsors to fund events.
Reviews requests and selects vendors to conduct informational seminars.
Manages all activities related to monthly newsletters: gather information for articles.
Prepares layouts for monthly newsletters.
Submits final drafts to the printer for monthly newsletters.
Arranges for delivery of monthly newsletters.
Maintains open communications with resort management, guests and vendors.
Represents the resort in a professional manner.
