Activities Assistant/Specialist Day Shift | Full-Time | Crawford, NE Since 1972, Ponderosa Villa has been Crawford's trusted home for elder care. As a city-owned, 35-bed skilled nursing facility, we are proud to serve our community with Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and Veteran's contract coverage. Our dedicated team of RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support staff provide compassionate care in a cheerful, home-like atmosphere where families are welcome partners in resident care. Job Description: The Activities Specialist assists the Activities Supervisor execute activity plans that benefit the physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing of each skilled nursing resident: Seeks and identifies ways to support residents' activity needs and preferences, routines, and choices Under the direction of the Activities Director, carries out individual and group activities that meet the functional levels, needs and interests of each resident Adapts activities to match the cognitive and physical functional levels of the residents using task segmentation, verbal prompts, set-up assistance, physical assists, and demonstrations Maintains/cleans activity equipment and supplies. Maintains activity space in a clean, orderly manner.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Reliable transportation to/from work
- Love for the geriatric population!

- Some prior activities experience preferred
Responsibilities
