Our Lady of Mercy Per Diem- per staffing needs The Activities Specialist is responsible for the overall planning and implementation of recreational activities . All activity programs will be designed to be meaningful as well as recreational and should be carried out in a manner that ensures participant dignity, as well as sense of usefulness to self and the larger community. The Activities Specialist acts as team leader for the Activities Assistant. Must be mentally alert and have the ability to effectively plan and organize assignments in the most efficient manner. Must be flexible, adaptable, and be able to function in stressful situations. Must have computer skills, including knowledge of Internet, Windows, database and word processing (Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.) Must have knowledge of a function planning and setup through formal training.
