About The Position

Do you have a talent and passion for planning, organizing, and executing social and educational events? If so, we would like to talk to you about joining our team as the Life Enrichment Director. As the Life Enrichment Director, you will enrich lives every day by overseeing the planning and implementation of an activities and wellness program that will meet residents' physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs. You will also work closely with our Resident Services Director, Executive Director, and Retirement Counselors as they work with future residents joining our community. You will play a large part in defining the community culture at Touchmark at Meadow Lake Village by identifying groups of residents and prospective residents with similar interests and planning regular social events accordingly. These events will allow residents and future residents to meet new friends and neighbors. You will spend significant time brainstorming, communicating, and coordinating ideas for trips and tours, organizing transportation, and developing relationships. You will have the unique opportunity to continue fostering the sense of community you have a large hand in creating! This schedule will be Sunday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. You must be willing and flexible to work holidays and evenings when needed. Salary between $55K-$60K DOE.

Requirements

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in a field related to health and Wellness or Life Enrichment, plus two years of experience with a retirement program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have experience managing direct reports, as well as the ability to build effective, cohesive teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills
  • Have a general understanding of basic accounting and budget development procedures
  • Be enthusiastic about working with residents and care team supervisors to develop life enrichment goals, programs, and plans for each resident
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a genuine interest in working with a senior population

Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing the Life Enrichment team to arrange, organize, and assist with activities both on and off campus
  • Overseeing and executing a wellness plan for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care based on personal interests and skills, physician recommendations, wellness goals, and personal care requirements
