Requirements

  • Should possess such attributes as flexibility, patience, and creativity.
  • Provide recreational programs in a manner that is respectful of individual choices and will promote resident participation.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents and guests.
  • Perform all assigned tasks according to our established policies and procedures and as instructed by your supervisor.
  • Follow work assignments and work schedules in completing and performing your assigned tasks.
  • Must have valid driver's license to drive a 14-passenger van.
  • Attend and participate in scheduled training and educational classes as required.
  • Attend and participate in scheduled orientation programs and activities.
  • Attend and participate in facility in-servicing programs as instructed.

Responsibilities

  • Must be a self-starter to be able to work independently to plan and coordinate meaningful activities for our residents.
  • Responsible for leading and assisting residents with activities throughout the day to meet their individual needs and may be implemented in a group or an individual setting.
  • Provide recreational programs in a manner that is respectful of individual choices and will promote resident participation.
  • Assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests.
  • Attends and participates in continuing educational programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Lifestyles.
