Activities Assistant
About The Position
Our nursing home community is searching for an Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team. We’re looking for a caring and compassionate person who would love to make a difference in peoples' lives. We’re looking for an individual who truly cares about making our community the best home possible for our residents. Available Positions: - 2 Part-Time Positions: One in our rehabilitation and long term care neighborhoods and one in our memory care neighborhood. Every other weekend - shifts are 10 am to 4 pm. This is a great opportunity for a high school student or someone looking to spend time and be involved with the well-being of our geriatric population! It is a very rewarding environment! Primary functions include (but not limited to): Create and provide activities of therapeutic value. Targeting group activities that will provide educational value, mental, physical and sensory stimulation (i.e. crafts, current events, 1 to 1's, game time, baking, outside entertainment, bingo, discussion groups, active games, etc.). Complete daily paper work as directed.
Requirements
- Three to four years of high school, basic everyday living skills, the ability to understand and follow directions, and the ability to read, write, add and subtract are required.
Responsibilities
