About The Position

Job Location: Potomac Falls Health & Rehab - STERLING, VA 20164
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Participates and assists with activity programs which meet the needs and interests of patients seven (7) days per week on multiple shifts, including holidays, including center sponsored community outings.
2. Follows leadership and direction to ensure activities are being delivered as planned.
3. Promptly addresses service concerns in a timely manner to facilitate a resolution.
4. Effectively communicates with patients, families, legal representatives, state/federal representatives, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
5. Follows center policies and procedures/state and federal regulations.
6. Promotes and maintains a positive working relationship with personnel across all departments, patients, families, and visitors.
7. Encourages patient participation in activity programs.
8. Ensures that the activity needs of patients are met.
9. Assists in the transportation of patients to activities events, as indicated.
10. Accurately and timely completes all required documentation.
11. Assists the Activities Director in maintaining activity equipment in good working order.
12. Correctly uses the Paycom system.
13. Meets criteria for annual performance evaluation.
14. Capable of driving the center van to transport patients on trips outside of the center.
15. Maintains an active and unencumbered driver’s license issued by the state of Virginia.
16. Provides a copy of current motor vehicle insurance at the time of hire and annually thereafter.
17. Supports and protects the individual rights of patients.
18. Performs appropriate documentation utilizing the electronic medical record.
19. Attends and participates in meetings as required or instructed by the Activities Director.
20. Performs other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• CTRS preferred.
• Experience directing individual and group activities, desired.
