The Action Sports Supervisor is a frontline leadership role supporting daily lessons and summer camp programming operations at Woodward Park City. This position supervises coaches on shift, supports high-quality guest experiences, and ensures safe, smooth daily operations. The Supervisor works closely with the Assistant Manager and Progression leadership to execute schedules, support staff performance, and manage guest communications during operating hours. Requirements

4+ years working with children and/or teens
1+ years in a leadership, supervisory, or lead coach role
Advanced skills in one or more action sports and associated safety practices
Strong communication and guest service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
Availability for weekends, holidays, and evenings
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
Successful background check and SafeSport completion (post-hire)

Nice To Haves

Experience in a ski/snowboard school, summer camp, or multi-sport instructional environment
Relevant certifications (e.g., PSIA-AASI, USASA, PMBIA, USAG, USSA)
CPR, First Aid, and AED certification
Familiarity with scheduling, POS, or payroll systems (Flaik, RTP, Workday, or similar)

Responsibilities

Supervise coaches and instructional staff during assigned shifts and programs
Support daily execution of lessons, camps, and instructional programming
Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and recognition to staff
Assist with onboarding and training support for new coaches
Execute schedules and assist with coverage adjustments
Ensure safety protocols, policies, and risk management standards are followed
Serve as a first point of contact for guest questions and concerns
Support opening/closing procedures and daily operational standards
Manage Progression communications during assigned shifts, including monitoring the department email inbox, answering the Progression phone line, and communicating with lesson participants, families, and school program coordinators
Support timekeeping accuracy, attendance tracking, and basic operational reporting
