About The Position

We are the behavioral health community organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We need individuals who are passionate about making a difference by helping others. We are seeking an ACT therapist to be responsible for Person-Centered Planning to develop an Individual Plan of Service. Provide on-going linking, coordinating, and monitoring of services within the standards of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) evidence-based model. Provide evidence based, trauma and recovery focused therapy to clients of Network180’s ACT team. This is a full-time position, primarily Monday – Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm, some evenings and weekends may be required, with rotating on call shifts. The employee will work in-person at our ACT Department location: 1131 Ionia Ave. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. The person in this role will also travel within the community on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapist, Counseling or Counseling Psychology
  • Certification or Licensure in the State of Michigan as a licensed or limited licensed master social worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist OR able to obtain a limited license within three (3) months of hire
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use including transporting of individuals served
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities

Nice To Haves

  • Fully licensed LMSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred
  • One-year full-time experience working with persons with mental illness preferred
  • CAADC certification through MCBAP or be able to obtain a development plan for the credential preferred
  • Training in and experience with providing Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy preferred
  • Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued
