Primary hours at the site Mon-Fri 7:30AM-6PM Must have very flexible schedule as this team provides treatment 7 days/week, including weekends and holidays Pay range $18.38 - $25.00 (DOE) $3/hour ACT Differential in addition to base pay Full-Time, Employed Location: 1642 S Priest Drive #101, Tempe, AZ and out in the community (approximately 20% in an office setting, 80% in the field) Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Health preferred Bilingual Differential Available Must have very flexible schedule as this team provides treatment 7 days/week, including weekends and holidays On-call and mileage reimbursement The ACT Independent Living Skills Specialist provides direct treatment, rehabilitative and supportive services that support independent living in a community setting to members. Works in conjunction with the client and Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team staff to assess client needs in development of their independent living skills and activities of daily living, to support independent living, Participates in the development of individual service plans and acts as a client advocate and liaisons with families and community agencies. Provides on-call crisis intervention services, as well as weekend and holiday coverage. This position reports to the ACT Clinical Coordinator. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year behavioral health experience is required. Education and/or experience may run concurrently.
  • Interpersonal skills which allow for professional and positive relationships with co-workers, members, families, and other community members
  • Good communication skills, evidenced by a non-judgmental approach, effective listening and positive interactions
  • Basic understanding of the DSM-V
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, electronic medical record, NextGen preferred
  • Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy
  • Must have a valid Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance card or be able to apply for one within 7 working days of starting employment
  • Must pass a TB test, background check, and other pre-employment screenings.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years working as an independent living specialist preferred.
  • Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) certificate preferred.
