About The Position

OE Solar is seeking a highly organized, mission-driven professional who thrives in the early phases of project development — digging into due diligence, shaping project vision, navigating contracts and entitlements, researching funding opportunities, and collaborating with design partners. As our Acquisitions & Development Manager , you’ll position our Community Solar and Energy Infrastructure projects for success long before construction begins. What you’ll take on: You’ll oversee schedules, budgets, consultants, and design teams; evaluate due diligence packages; coordinate with municipalities; submit utility pre-applications; secure ministerial permits; and guide projects through zoning and entitlement processes. Your role is the glue that keeps each project aligned, compliant, and progressing smoothly. This position calls for a strong foundation in economic development, finance, city planning, commercial real estate, and energy-related tax credits or incentives. You’ll support projects from concept through the start of construction— perfect for someone passionate about sustainable energy infrastructure and battery storage , and who enjoys working closely with landowners, consultants, and internal teams.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination, solar development, land management, real estate, agriculture, or environmental work
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, solve problems creatively, and enjoy collaborating with a team.
  • Contract negotiations experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working across disciplines (technical, legal, environmental, and community-facing)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar tools

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with solar development or renewable energy projects is a plus, willing to teach right candidate
  • Familiarity with land leases, easements, or real estate documentation
  • Knowledge of agricultural land use, conservation practices, or environmental compliance
  • Experience coordinating consultants (surveyors, environmental, civil, or legal)
  • GIS or mapping experience is a plus
