About The Position

HHM is seeking an analyst for its Private Equity Investment Platform to analyze, underwrite, and acquire hotels domestically. The position will report to the Vice President of Acquisitions & Development, and be part of a team with seasoned industry veterans whom have acquired and operated hotels for 30+ years. Over time, team members may invest along-side the company in deals for personal wealth creation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Real Estate, Business or Hospitality; MBA is a plus, but not required.
  • 1 to 3 years of progressive experience in hotel acquisitions and development with deep market knowledge.
  • Experience with feasibility analysis and financial structures.
  • Strong Excel-based financial modeling skills and proficiency in PowerPoint and MS Word.

  • MBA is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of hotel acquisitions and development deals.
  • Lead financial modeling and due diligence support, working closely with other divisions (Operations, Legal, Accounting).
  • Conduct detailed market and feasibility analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for existing and prospective investments.
  • Coordinate real estate deal structures, including multi-tiered promote structures, mezzanine financing, incentive management fees, and joint ventures.
  • Gather operating data and research on industry trends, and prepare presentations for monthly acquisitions meetings and quarterly presentations to the Investment Committee and Board of Directors.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
  • Practice safe work habits.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
