Torch Technologies is seeking an Acquisition Security Support Specialist to join the security team providing engineering and engineering management Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS). This position supports the Technical and Management Advisory Services (TMAS2) contract at Eglin AFB, FL. As an Acquisition Security Support Specialist, your duties will include but will not be limited to: Perform administrative functions and duties in accordance with DoW regulations and guidance required in the performance of duties. Provide advice and assistance in manning the entry control desk, monitoring the facility entrance, implementing force protection notices and fire alarm status, and answering the telephone to provide Security and personnel updates. Apply knowledge and experience to support the execution of all aspects of acquisition program security and physical security requirements IAW all applicable Government directives relating to SAPs, Sensitive Compartmented Information, and collateral security requirements. Provide daily assistance to the SAP Security Managers, division leadership, and facility personnel to ensure the core physical security disciplines are fully integrated from a policy and programmatic viewpoint to ensure overall requirements meet mission requirements. Identify areas for process improvement and automation, leveraging their technical expertise to implement innovative solutions and enhance the overall efficiency of security operations. This role may be appointed as primary/alternate Security roles, as needed.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relatable field of study
  • Verifiable relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience with entry control desk duties including maintaining visitor log and visitor badge control, monitoring video security systems, and coordinating delivery receipt and paging personnel.
  • Experience in working with Government and contractor personnel to create a secure environment through development of sound security practices and policies regarding physical, personnel and administrative security.
  • Experience in conducting a documented security entry & exit program, and end-of-day security activities; including applying advanced security principles to safeguard classified resources, capabilities, and assigned personnel in accordance with appropriate directives.
  • Experience in program protection planning activities supporting security inspections; identifying deficiencies in controlled areas; and implement coordinated solutions with the security manager and site ops/infrastructure team in support of sensitive or Special Access Programs (SAPs).
  • Must have a Top Secret clearance at hire with the ability to obtain SCI access within 6 months of job start.
  • Inability to maintain a Top Secret security clearance will result in a candidate being ineligible for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in developing and reviewing Security Management Plans, Transportation Requests, and SAP Security Personnel Official (SPO) duties.
  • Recommended, but not required, Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program Security Fundamentals Professional Certification.
