About The Position

The Acquisition Program Management Professional will: Apply expert knowledge of system acquisition and program management principles as defined in DoD 5000-series guidance. Assess program schedule and cost baselines; identify risks and recommend corrective actions. Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to evaluate efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of acquisition programs. Develop and maintain acquisition documentation (briefings, reports, documents, plans). Prepare statutory and regulatory reports such as DAES and MAR. Communicate program status and acquisition issues clearly to senior leadership. Plan, research, and analyze system acquisition activities, including development, production, and deployment of weapon systems and associated equipment. Formulate plans and recommend strategies to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives. Support program management reviews, IMP/IMS reviews, and senior-level meetings. Support implementation and execution of Agile software development processes with government and weapon system prime contractors. Evaluate and implement program acquisition strategies in accordance with DoD 5000-series guidance. Support all phases of the acquisition life cycle and decision milestones. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (IRD) with 7+ years of relevant experience (RE) OR Master’s degree (IRD) with 5+ years of relevant experience (RE)
  • Strong understanding of DoDI 5000.02 and 5000.75
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis in support of acquisition programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with DoD, AF, prime contractors, and suppliers
