This position will touch on all areas of Active Day’s operations and will be key in helping us find the right assets that fit the Active Day Way. The Acquisition Manager will manage the due diligence process and successful transition and integration of Active Day’s acquisition and growth opportunities within the adult day services and home and community-based programs. Managing the due diligence and integration processes will include initiating, monitoring, and resolving due diligence issues, assisting transition and integration planning to ensure post-closing execution by the operating team which will ensure a seamless transition in providing support to the new members and teammates. Project work includes issues tracking and resolution, internal and external team coordination, post-closing support to operations, and management of post-closing review sessions to find improvement opportunities for organic and future deal processes. The position works directly and coordinates with multiple departments such as Operations, Administrative Support, Human Resources, Finance, Billing, Legal, and Business Development to ensure overall project coordination. In addition, the position will represent Active Day as its designated liaison with external stakeholders in coordinating due diligence and transition planning. The successful candidate will develop Active Day’s ‘Acquisitions Playbook” (for due diligence and integration) and maintain/update tracking reports to ensure project scope and tasks are up to date, accurate and inclusive.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in M&A or corporate development role/department, with a preference for experience in the healthcare industry.
  • At least 3 years in a managerial/team-leader role, managing team of resources
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to build relationships and capable of working with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated process and workflow management, project management/PMP experience preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills as well as a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently on assignments, to multi-task and meet tight deadlines, to assess and prioritize most important and time critical tasks.
  • Very strong Excel skills and strong MS Word and Outlook skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

Responsibilities

  • Manage acquisition due diligence and integration projects (with multiple projects active at any given time) and provide both leadership and support for all functional areas.
  • Support acquisitions through coordination of Active Day internal functional areas, seller responsibilities, government agencies and 3rd party vendors.
  • Support start-up initiatives through coordination of Active Day internal functional areas, government agencies and 3rd party vendors.
  • Ensure that acquisition due diligence and integration projects adhere to the Acquisition Playbook processes and methodologies, and determining/making recommendations on when exceptions are appropriate.
  • Prepare and maintain the project plans, schedule and financials associated with the due diligence and integration projects, as well as post-closing and transition plans (including detailed tasks and timing) that are specific to each acquisition / divestiture, including coordinating internal and external resources.
  • Ability to meet with outside entities (sellers’ transition team, management and transitioning employees), representing Active Day, to address due diligence, integration and transition issues.
  • Regularly review and prioritize project related tasks with the project team and Active Day functional areas.
  • Communicate with senior leadership team as to project status, issues, etc.
  • Provide supporting documentation and reports to end users and management.
  • Maintain and organize Virtual Data Rooms.
  • Review and comment on transaction documentation quality and status.
  • Up to 10% travel expected.
