TPMG Lung and Sleep Specialists at Newport News are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our team. TPMG Lung and Sleep Specialists at Newport News is a patient-centered specialty practice dedicated to providing high-quality care in pulmonary medicine and sleep health. We manage a wide range of conditions—from asthma, COPD, and interstitial lung disease to sleep apnea and complex sleep disorders. Our team emphasizes collaboration, evidence-based practice, and compassionate patient care. The candidate will be joining a team consisting of four Physicians and will be supported by an experienced administrative and clinical team. The right candidate will work closely with our pulmonologists and sleep specialists to deliver comprehensive care. This role includes conducting evaluations, interpreting diagnostic tests, managing ongoing treatment plans, and educating patients on chronic disease management and sleep health. Position details: Full-time position. Opportunity for Inpatient, outpatient or both. Established, busy, growing practice in Newport News, VA. Opportunity for growth. Majority private insurance patients. In-patient Job Duties: Rounding within hospital units (acute care, ICU, etc.). Participating in and leading multidisciplinary rounds. Providing direct, advanced care to hospitalized patients. Based on experience performing pulmonary and ICU procedures. Focusing on diagnosing, treating acute/chronic conditions, managing medications, ordering and following tests. Collaborating with physicians, nursing and other ancillary staff. Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies. Maintain accurate and timely notes in the hospital Electronic Health Record (EHR). Requirements

  • Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current state licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current DEA license, national board certification and CPR certification.
