About The Position

The purpose of this position is to provide reception assistance to individuals within the ACE Centers on campus and to assist with improving the learning and college experiences for students. Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment: Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program. Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student. Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University. Responsibilities

  • Welcomes students by greeting them in person, on the telephone, or via email.
  • Provides information to students inquiring about learning and college services; gives instructions of services provided.
  • Schedules peer-tutoring appointments as needed.
  • Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring appointments, assisting, and assuring students are checking in and out properly.
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and attending department meetings.
  • Maintains a strong communication between Tutors, Program Managers, and Staff.
