About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Vice President (VP) of Strategic Initiatives, the Hospital Accreditation Specialist is responsible for overseeing continuing medical education (CME) programs, coordinating symposiums, and managing the accreditation process for athletic trainers, coaches and others as assigned. This role provides administrative, analytical, and technical support to ensure compliance with accreditation standards, enhance professional development, and promote high-quality educational initiatives. The Specialist maintains databases, supports event logistics, and ensures alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Two years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare education, CME coordination, accreditation processes, or related fields preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Education, Public Health, or a related field preferred; five years of equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and accreditation or CME tracking software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; ability to comprehend and follow written and oral instruction.
  • Ability to work well and get along with others to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with accrediting agencies is preferred.
  • Certification in CME management (e.g., ACCME) or accreditation processes (e.g., BOC for athletic trainers) is preferred.
