About The Position

Reporting to and under general supervision of the Director of Operations, the Accreditation and Assessment Specialist performs varied administrative, technical, and analytical duties to support the Dean, the Director of Accreditation and Assessment (DAA), the Counseling Department Chair (Chair), and faculty and staff in attaining goals and objectives related to program accreditation and assessment. The incumbent supports a range of duties associated with maintaining accreditation status for programs managed by California Commission on Teaching Credentialing (CTC) and Masters in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council (MPCAC). The incumbent is expected to use independent judgment to make decisions, interpret and apply policies and procedures, perform research, prepare and analyze reports, provide support documentation and provide general office assistance. Assignments require handling of multiple work priorities and accountability for own work results. Contacts involve interaction with all levels inside and outside the university, and may include dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

Requirements

  • This position requires a bachelor's degree and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
  • Intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two years post-secondary education experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of accreditation and assessment process for teacher preparation and teacher preparation standards for CCTC accreditation strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Google Suite, FileMaker Pro, Accreditation software and PeopleSoft preferred.
