The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining up-to-date records of customer accounts. This role plays a key part in the financial health of the organization by ensuring cash flow and resolving any billing discrepancies.

  • Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner
  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts
  • Follow up with customers on overdue payments via phone, email, or mail
  • Post payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions
  • Prepare regular reports on the status of accounts and collections
  • Work closely with the accounting team to resolve billing issues
  • Assist with month-end closing and audit preparation
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
