About The Position

As the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, you will lead the Accounts Receivable (AR) team and develop strategic plans to ensure the department's success. Your responsibilities will include directly overseeing the AR process to guarantee timely and accurate customer payment deposits and the clearance of outstanding receivables. You will supervise Accounts Receivable Specialists. To excel in this role, you must have strong leadership and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable.
  • Previous experience in applying process management tools and statistical process improvement techniques.
  • Prior leadership experience is required.
  • Preference for those who have led teams in the transportation industry.
  • Up to 7 years of experience in Accounts Receivable.
  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Associate Degree in Business Administration or Accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an Individualized Quality (IQ) Leader and conduct IQ meetings.
  • Serve as back up to the Accounts Receivable Manager.
  • Provide leadership to the department to ensure daily goals are met.
  • Provide the Accounts Receivable Manager with valuable reporting on monthly trends and assist with special projects.
  • Collect, compile, and interpret statistical data for Accounts Receivable reports as requested.
  • Oversee the Bill Trust system to include database administration, quality assurance, daily export, and end of day reconciliation.
  • Communicate with bank staff to resolve issues related to lockbox transactions.
  • Plan meetings and coordinate ongoing projects to identify potential deficiencies and/or areas of opportunity within Accounts Receivable.
  • Provide data to external auditors and finance department as requested.
  • Make hiring and termination decisions.
  • Conduct orientation for new hires in Accounts Receivable.
  • Conduct performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Provide pay increase suggestions for direct reports to upper management.
  • Complete the daily time keeping for Accounts Receivable.
  • Maintain processes and procedures for Accounts Receivable and review annually.
  • Interact daily with internal peers and external customers.
