About The Position

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our corporate office located in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely. This person will be responsible for performing all the Accounts Receivable (AR) functions on a day-to-day basis, including providing financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate receipt and posting/application of tenant payments.

Requirements

  • Prior cash application experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of accounting
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, and JD Edwards
  • Strong attention to detail while completing multiple or repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy
  • Demonstrates a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines
  • Priority setting, organization and time-management skills
  • Strong communication skills (interpersonal savvy, customer focus, oral and written communication)
  • Trust and integrity
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to apply common sense and logic to solve problems

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree preferred
  • Prior bookkeeping or general accounting experience/knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily lockbox processing, cash application and reconcile GL accounts
  • Provide support to internal groups (Real Estate Accounting and Property Management) and to tenants regarding tenant accounts, cash applications and issues regarding the tenant payment portal
  • Process NSF checks, assess monthly late fees, and perform additional duties as assigned (sales tax return preparation, ACH payments and wire transfers)
