Accounts Receivable Representative

The primary responsibility of this position is insurance processing in medical practice. The Accounts Receivable Representative Specialist works very closely with the Director of Revenue Cycle to maintain the A/R at the targeted goals; serves as the major resource for re-filing denied claims as appropriate and providing medical documentation to request medical review for payment; responsible for working Accounts Receivable reports and pending insurance reports with the objective of receiving timely payment for services; assists Director of Revenue Cycle in reviewing patient accounts to assist Business Office staff or to assist a patient regarding an account balance; assists in monitoring account balances and refers to Director of Revenue Cycle accounts that are delinquent and accounts that require approval for adjustments, refunds, or write-offs.
