Dahl Consulting is currently partnering with a leading manufacturer of quality vehicles and equipment parts. This company is hiring an Accounts Receivable & Payable Specialist for a contract-to-hire role. The position is located in St. Cloud, MN, with a compensation range of $22.00-$26.00 per hour.

  • Prepare (match to PO), code to the appropriate GL account and enter accounts payables invoices
  • Reconcile vendor statements and work with vendor on discrepancies
  • Manage the weekly check run process and mail out vendor payments
  • Handle vendor setup along with collecting and maintaining vendor W-9's
  • Monitor and follow up on aged outstanding checks
  • Monitor info email box daily for incoming invoices/statements and responding to vendor and customer inquiries timely
  • Process, verify, and post cash receipts in an accurate and timely manner
  • Perform reconciliation of payments and customer accounts
  • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
  • Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting customers via telephone, email and mail
  • Provide reporting of customer balances and collection efforts for those balances over 60 days old
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, or 2-4+ years of related work experience in lieu of education requirement
  • Knowledge of purchase order processing
  • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
  • Ability to speak with customers, vendors and all levels within the organization
  • Proficient in MS-Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, research, problem-solving and time management skills
  • High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cooperative and team-oriented environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in driving process improvement
