A Day in the Life: Every day is different on the Accounting team! You will spend time head-down on clerical, bookkeeping, and accounting assignments and compile information for accounting statements and financial reports. You will also manage incoming payments, ensure accurate billing, and maintain customer accounts to optimize company cash flow. Key duties include generating and sending invoices, processing payments/deposits, reconciling accounts, resolving discrepancies, and following up on overdue accounts.

Requirements

  • The ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

  • Bookkeeping coursework or experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepares information for financial reports and various accounting statements
  • Posts journal entries to general ledger with accuracy
  • Receive, record and bank cash, checks and vouchers
  • Perform financial calculations, such as amounts due, interest charges and balances
  • Generates summary sheets as needed
  • Proofs accounting reports for clerical accuracy
  • Comply with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, answering telephones and handling routine correspondence
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
