American Stone is looking to hire an Accounts Receivable Clerk, as comfortable with numbers as with people. We are open to entry-level candidates with at least an associates degree. Working hybrid 2 days in-office, 3 days in home office is available. Are you an efficient worker with a can-do attitude? Do you have the ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism?

  • Design, train, and enforce credit and pricing policies with contractor B2B customers, wholesale dealers, and internal employees.
  • Lower outstanding accounts receivable.
  • Improve average days outstanding to collect on accounts receivable.
  • Track current records and set goals for improvement month over month.
  • Assist employees in collecting on outstanding debts and avoiding future debts.
  • Collect on bad debts from accounting systems.
  • Send out NOIs or pre-lien notices and submit claims to small claims court when necessary.
  • Work with store managers to maintain daily bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in minimizing cash over/short entries.
  • Track performance and set goals for improvements.
  • Assist the accounting department in other duties, such as payroll, accounts payable, and inter-company billing and receiving.
  • At least an associates degree in accounting or related field.
  • Experience with accounting and/or database programs, such as Odoo, Peachtree, Excel, Access, Quicken, etc.
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background check.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, such as sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Prior experience in collections is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience and a high-scoring pre-interview assessment can substitute for an accounting degree.
