About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Supervisor to support our AP team during a Workday implementation. This role will split time between contributing to the Workday project and serving as the backup AP Supervisor to ensure daily operations continue smoothly.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an AP Supervisor (not a first-time supervisor).
  • Hands-on Workday AP experience; daily system usage required.
  • Workday implementation experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of AP processes, controls, and best practices.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in PeopleSoft reporting and Excel.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience transitioning from PeopleSoft to Workday is a major plus.
  • Comfortable rolling up sleeves and assisting with transactional work when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Workday design, testing, and deployment activities specific to Accounts Payable.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on prior Workday implementation experience.
  • Assist with process redesign and system optimization.
  • Support data preparation and cleanup, including vendor master data, ahead of the transition.
  • Serve as the backup AP Supervisor while permanent staff focus on the implementation.
  • Lead and support a team of AP analysts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to processes.
  • Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and ensure completion of daily AP activities.
  • Perform reconciliations and review reports from PeopleSoft and Excel.
  • Step in to process invoices when needed.
