About The Position

Copa Health is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist to support the Finance team in managing the organization’s financial obligations. This is a full-time, onsite position based at our Administration Office in Mesa, AZ. This role is responsible for processing invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Experience in healthcare or non-profit organizations
  • Familiarity with ERP or electronic invoice processing systems
  • Basic understanding of GAAP principles

Responsibilities

  • Process high-volume invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Review invoices for appropriate documentation, coding, and approvals prior to payment
  • Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive working relationships
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts payable
  • Support audits by providing required documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper coding and approvals
