Atkore’s Shared Services team is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to perform a variety of accounts payable duties, ensuring that all financial data is recorded in accordance with and consistent with all generally accepted account principles, SOX requirements, and Atkore policies and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred, or equivalent education and experience
Minimum of 2 years of procurement/accounting experience in a multi-facility environment required; Basware, JDE or another ERP experience a plus
Effective verbal and written communication skills; good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook strongly preferred
Ability to handle high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Self-starter and problem solver

Responsibilities

Identify, analyze, rectify & process all accounts payable transactions via three-way match process for the Atkore businesses assigned using Basware and JDE Systems
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
Acts as a liaison between Corporate and business unit accounting departments for A/P inquiries
Answers all vendor inquires, including any follow up on vendor statements
Assist the Accounts Payable Manager, as needed
Distributes signed checks as required
Prepares analysis of accounts as required
Performs other duties as assigned
