About The Position

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. This position is located in Baton Rouge, LA, and is ideal for an individual seeking an A/P role in a family-oriented company that is growing tremendously and backed by private equity.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of full cycle AP experience
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Ability to process a large volume of invoices accurately and timely
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize projects and multitask
• Strong problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Processes vendor invoices for payment by coding, entering, and routing for approval
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Researches discrepancies between vendor records and company records and resolves differences
• Provides high level of customer service to all vendors and employees
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
• Assists leadership with other tasks/projects, as needed
