Position Summary This role is primarily responsible for accounts payable processing, including invoice entry, vendor payments, and reconciliation. The position will also support semi-monthly payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of accounting experience required preferably in Accounts Payable and Payroll.
  • 1+ years of experience in payroll processing required.
  • General office duties

  • Knowledge of payroll and accounts payable processing
  • Proficiency with payroll and accounting software; experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other related software.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information with discretion.
  • Accounting degree preferred.
  • ADP and Microsoft Great Plains experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process semi-monthly payroll, including employee wages, commissions, bonuses, deductions and expense reports.
  • Enter and maintain payroll system information: salaries, hourly rates, time worked, leave, address changes, and other employee data.
  • Ensure accurate payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and charitable contributions.
  • Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.
  • Issue and reissue physical checks or direct deposits as needed, including for payroll errors or terminations.
  • Prepare and file federal and state payroll tax deposits and reports (Form 940 & 941).
  • Manage daily accounts payable entries and facilitate vendor payments, including verification of information and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Participate in AP and Payroll journal entries
  • Review and reconcile employee expense reports with account balances and office records.
  • Assist with third-party audit document requests, internal audits, and annual 1099 reporting.
  • Perform other accounting, payroll, and administrative duties as assigned.
