About The Position

The Accounts Payable Manager at Ampere Computing will lead the accounts payable team, managing the entire accounts payable process while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role focuses on supervising staff, managing vendor relationships, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CMA, or other relevant certifications are a plus but are not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and mentor accounts payable staff, including performance evaluations and professional development.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
  • Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors, resolve discrepancies or issues, and negotiate payment terms when necessary.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present accounts payable reports, including aging reports and cash flow forecasts.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
  • Oversee the accounts payable system, including software updates, troubleshooting, and user training.
  • Support the treasury team with bank account transfers and payment requests.
