About The Position

The Accounts Payable Manager at GS Foods Group is responsible for leading the Accounts Payable function across 18 divisions nationwide. This role involves collaborating with senior finance executives to ensure efficient execution of the AP process, managing vendor relationships, and driving process improvements. The position requires a finance professional with significant experience in AP and a strong analytical background to enhance operational efficiency and team performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years of related experience in Accounting, Finance, Shared Services, AR, and AP.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NAV.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization.
• Proficiency in MS Office and financial software applications; Workday Adaptive experience is a plus.
• Power user in Excel with strong experience in pivot tables and key formulas.

Nice To Haves

• CPA or MBA preferred.
• Experience in a private equity-backed environment.
• Significant experience with three statement models and iterative reference.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Accounts Payable function across all divisions.
• Work directly with the CFO and EVP of Finance to ensure efficient execution of the AP process.
• Manage vendor credit limits and payment terms, ensuring PO and invoice accuracy.
• Resolve issues related to CRMs and credit memos, and manage payments and unpaid balances.
• Develop and document current operating processes for the AP cycle.
• Drive process improvements and best practices for standardization.
• Assess and implement technology solutions to improve efficiencies in AP operations.
• Track and improve Days Payables Outstanding (DPO) metrics.
• Build and develop high-performance teams within the AP function.
• Create a culture focused on superior customer experience in vendor interactions.
• Conduct analysis and data interpretation to explain variances and trends.
