JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive 1000+ vendor invoices and expense vouchers per month and enter for payment Resolve invoice issues/discrepancies timely Work with vendors, Cost Accountant, Receiving, Purchasing and other departments to obtain approvals and resolve problems Maintain effective relationships with all vendors and employees Review monthly statements from vendors to ensure the accounts are kept up-to-date Create and review daily batch edit reports of entered invoices. Stamp and file entered invoices according to A/P procedures Process weekly check runs Create and review weekly Cash Requirements Report Obtain proper signatures on checks Mail/distribute payments according to Corporate Treasury Review Unvouchered Report for possible errors and resolve all issues > 90 days old Determine payment of checks at period end based on Corporate Cash Flow needs Complete Internal Control testing for the Sarbanes Oxley Expenditure Cycle Audit in accordance with Corporate guidelines Responsible for other AP functions as deemed necessary Prepare monthly account reconciliations including bank reconciliations as needed Backup for Accounts Receivable Billing Clerk Backup for switchboard operator Sort and distribute incoming mail Deliver outgoing mail to Post Office Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects that may be required EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: 2+ years Accounts Payable experience required Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and JD Edwards Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well with all levels of the organization Excellent organizational skills Must be able to manage multiple tasks at one time Ability to resolve problems effectively EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent required.
