Summary of Position As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth financial operations of our esteemed establishment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Accounting is required
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role.
  • 1-3 years of accounts payable experience required
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with hospitality industry accounting practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily financial transactions; full cycle accounts payable and purchasing duties
  • Reconcile and verify invoices, statements, payments and other financial documents.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
  • Enter and code invoices into accounting system
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive working relationships
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers, ACH payments and checks
  • Assist with month end closing by preparing accruals and reports
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Assist in conducting regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support finance team with daily task and projects as needed
  • Perform ad hoc financial and administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
