About The Position

Dickerson, Bakker & Associates (DickersonBakker) is a Solutions provider serving Nonprofits and mission-driven organizations through executive search, strategy, and advisory services. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable professional to support our finance operations and ensure accuracy, organization, and timeliness across AP activities. The Accounts Payable Clerk / Specialist provides administrative and operational support to the finance team, with a primary focus on accounts payable processing, expense tracking, and documentation management. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, enjoys working with financial details, and takes pride in maintaining clean, accurate records. This is a part-time, in-office role with flexibility for a hybrid schedule for the right hire. There is strong potential for additional hours and responsibility as the company grows.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting support preferred.
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable handling confidential financial information with discretion.
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage recurring tasks independently.
  • Proficient with basic office technology (email, shared drives, PDFs, spreadsheets).

  • Experience in a professional services or consulting environment.
  • Interest in growing into additional accounting or finance responsibilities over time.
  • Familiarity with expense management best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Record and categorize credit card purchases and receipts in QuickBooks Online.
  • Review and verify employee expense reimbursements for completeness, accuracy, and proper coding.
  • Track down missing receipts, invoices, and supporting documentation as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized digital and physical AP records.
  • Assist with routine AP-related administrative tasks.
  • Support month-end close preparation by ensuring AP documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Communicate professionally with internal team members regarding expenses, receipts, and reimbursement questions.
  • Follow established financial policies and contribute to process consistency.
