Requirements

  • Previous experience in accounting, finance, or related fields
  • Knowledge of GAAP principles
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping
  • Extensive experience with QuickBooks Pro (desktop version)
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to proactively communicate and work with clients, coworkers, vendors, and management
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and initiative
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Pro, Microsoft Office Suite, and Excel
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in business, finance, or accounting is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Accurately compute and record numerical data
  • Verify the accuracy of business transactions
  • Perform data entry and administrative tasks
  • Reconcile bank accounts and tenant ledgers
  • Set up and enter new clients into accounting and management systems
  • Handle A/R, including active collections and legal actions
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for management
  • Maintain current bank balances and manage cash flow for bill payments
  • Process monthly invoices through QuickBooks Pro
  • Manage weekly payroll
