Fiber Network Services is a communications contractor offering a full range of fiber optic and cable network services. Servicing Cox Communications, Comcast Cable, Segra and Suddenlink in the States of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and in Washington D.C., we are a trusted resource for cabling and maintaining high-speed internet connectivity via fiber optic and coaxial systems. We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Accounts Payable Associate for our corporate office in Manassas, VA

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred
• 2–5 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred
• Understanding of basic accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts (three-way match)
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain vendor records and ensure accurate documentation
• Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and reporting
• Support audits by providing requested documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
• Assist with process improvements and documentation of procedures
