About The Position

Grindr is looking for a seasoned Accounts Payable (AP) and Procurement leader to own and optimize our full purchase-to-pay process. This is a role for someone who has done it before - a subject matter expert who understands how to design, implement, and manage AP operations at scale, while also running procurement end to end. You'll bring structure, consistency, and accountability to how we spend, pay, and manage vendors, ensuring we have both operational excellence and financial discipline across the organization. This role is foundational to the company's financial operations - ensuring every dollar is spent wisely, every invoice is paid accurately, and every vendor relationship runs smoothly. You'll have the chance to build systems, lead people, and make a measurable impact on how the company operates day to day.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Procurement roles, including time as a process owner or people manager.
  • Proven success leading or supervising an AP function in a growing or mid-sized company.
  • Deep familiarity with end-to-end procurement, including vendor selection, contracting, POs, and approvals.
  • Experience working in tech, media, or multi-entity environments preferred.
  • Expertise with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle), Procurement Systems (e.g., Zip) and strong Excel / data skills.
  • High attention to detail and a mindset for operational improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in tech, media, or multi-entity environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Accounts Payable function, overseeing invoice processing, payments, vendor management, and reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Design and implement scalable AP processes and internal controls to support a growing, multi-entity organization.
  • Own the procurement lifecycle, from vendor selection and contract review through purchase order approval and payment.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and department leaders to ensure compliance with company policies and timely vendor onboarding.
  • Develop and track KPIs for AP and procurement performance, driving continuous improvement.
  • Manage systems and automation, including ERP and expense platforms, to enhance efficiency and visibility.
  • Provide timely month-end close support for accruals, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Act as subject matter expert on accounting and procurement best practices, supporting audits and internal reviews.

Benefits

  • Insurance premium coverage for health, dental, and vision for you and partial coverage for your dependents.
  • Generous 401K plan with 6% match and immediate vest in the U.S.
  • Industry-competitive compensation and eligibility for company bonus and equity programs.
  • Industry-leading gender-affirming offerings with up to 90% cost coverage, access to Included Health, monthly stipends for HRT, and more.
  • Flexible vacation policy, monthly stipends for cell phone, internet, wellness, food, and commuting, breakfast/lunch provided onsite, and yearly travel & leisure stipend.
