The Accounts Payable Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas plays a crucial role in managing and analyzing expense processing, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and enhancing the efficiency of accounts payable systems. This position requires independent problem-solving skills and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

  • Analyze expense processing and obtain proper authorization for disbursements related to non-po invoices, discretionary, and expense reimbursement transactions.
  • Apply accounts payable and accounting principles to classify and analyze accounts payable data and transactions from multiple sources.
  • Perform problem resolutions, including analysis, reporting, troubleshooting, cause identification, and corrective actions related to processes.
  • Interact and communicate with internal and external customers, providing routine to intermediate analysis/reports and presentations.
  • Research and assist with evaluation of processes to recommend improvements/standardization for accounts payable systems and policies.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to FRS guidelines.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fields, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in accounting, preferably within a Shared Services Center or consolidated environment focusing on customer service.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely with minimal errors.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, capable of problem-solving and strategic thinking.
  • Experience in various software and ERP packages, including MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Accounts Payable certification (APS) is a plus.
  • Experience in a hybrid work environment.
