About The Position

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk to join our team in Auburn, California. The Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk will perform general accounting and clerical tasks necessary for maintaining accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with accounting software, and good communication skills.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • At least one year of related experience, preferably in a dealership or similar environment
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong computer and internet skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with strong numerical aptitude
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Professional and dependable work ethic

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Receive, reconcile, and process vendor invoices accurately and promptly
  • Prepare customer invoices and manage credit batches
  • Reconcile daily cash deposits and ensure accuracy
  • Prepare accounts payable checks and post all open items daily
  • Reconcile statements and ledgers, ensuring payments follow scheduled timelines
  • Maintain petty cash systems and related records
  • Organize and maintain updated files for accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure all accounting transactions comply with company financial policies and procedures
  • Provide administrative support as needed
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and educational sessions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
