About The Position

The Accounts Payable Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial operations within the organization by managing the Accounts Payable process. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate across departments. The analyst is responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, assisting in month-end close activities, and maintaining accurate financial records, all while adhering to high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of basic accounting/customer service experience.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable, recon and/or AP processing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suites and basic to advanced Excel skills (V look-up, pivot tables, etc.).
• Ability to analyze and interpret data.
• Excellent customer (internal/external) service and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Certification, Associates or Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field.
• Knowledge of the distribution industry.

Responsibilities

• Accurately processes inventory, freight, fleet, or expense supplier invoices into Agility utilizing SharePoint and sorting assigned queue by the invoice created date, giving priority to invoices coded as priority.
• Sends out requests to branches for PO's and approvals for invoices through MS Flow.
• Checks day-end register for quality of vouchers created and makes corrections.
• Runs branch recon registers and analyzes data from different types of recon related transactions for assigned branches.
• Conducts the proper research to resolve an issue as it relates to supplier invoices and/or recon variance with supervision.
• Participates in branch meetings with supervision to discuss recon hygiene and communicates action items for resolution.
• Performs AP recon variance adjustments to provide G/L with supervision.
• Gains knowledge accessing and using all the software applications to research recon variances.
