About The Position
Sutherland is looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Analyst/Specialist to support one of our growing retail programs within the client site in Chesapeake, VA. Reporting, insights, and optimization. As an AP Analyst/Specialist you'll get to: Analyze AP trends (aging, early-pay discounts, late fees) Create dashboards and monitor KPIs Identify process bottlenecks & optimize the same Support audits with data Produce reports, data insights Example Metrics: AP aging dashboard Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) Early payment discount utilization Vendor performance metrics/KPIs Approval cycle times SLA adherence (invoice-to-pay times) Ensure compliance with internal controls
Requirements
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience in an AP Analyst or AP Supervisor role
- Customer-oriented attitude in handling first level of communications and issues
- Capacity to efficiently manage time and keep track of multiple schedules
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Lawson ERP knowledge/experience will be a major plus
